Kiddies Thursdays: Creative and Connected
Every Thursdays, children from local schools and communities gather to participate in a range of creative activities including clay games, coloring, and painting. The workshops were designed to nurture creativity and imagination in a fun, supportive environment, Each session is filled with laughter and joy as the children explored different artistic techniques and created their masterpieces. The clay games allowed them to get hands-on and messy, shaping and molding their ideas into tangible forms. The coloring sessions provided a relaxing and meditative activity, while the painting allowed for bold expressions of their vibrant imaginations. These activities not only fostered artistic skills but also helped in developing fine motor skills and boosting self-confidence among the children. Parents and guardians are always thrilled to see their kids' artwork and the happiness on their faces after each session.
Family Fun Day: Creative and Connected

Peak District Hiking Trips, September 2023
In September 2023, with funding from Nottingham City Council we took just under 50 asylum seekers from 4 different hotels which are operated by the Home Office, to Matlock to participate in hikes around Lover's Walk and High Tor. These hikes were over 5 miles long and we climbed up to 950 feet above sea level. The sessions were a real challenge and left everybody with amazing memories, a sense of accomplishment, heightened social connectedness and a sense of wellbeing. Hiking is a good exercise which has excellent physical and psychological health and wellbeing outcomes, and is suitable for a broad range of ability and fitness levels The service users enjoyed the sessions so much, that they have requested monthly hikes moving forwards - something which we are keen to receive funding to provide to them, free of charge.
